摘要: The study area located in southern Kyrgyzstan is affected by high and ongoing landslide activity. To characterize this activity, a multi-temporal inventory containing over 2800 polygons was generated from multiple data sources. latter include the results of automated detection satellite imagery. polygonal representation landslides allows for characterization geometry determination further attributes way that accounts diversity conditions within landslide, e.g., at main scarp opposed to its toe. perform such analyses, methodology efficient geographic information system (GIS)-based attribute derivation developed, which includes both standard customized GIS tools. We derived number attributes, including area, length, compactness, slope, aspect, distance stream geology. distributions these were analyzed obtain better understanding properties as preliminary step probabilistic hazard assessment. obtained spatial temporal variations linked differences environmental characteristics geological setting proved be most important differentiating factor. Moreover, significant influence different sources on distribution values found, indicating importance critical evaluation used assessments.
