摘要: Students of the intersection between monetary transfers and intimate social relations face a choice among three ways analyzing that relationship: as hostile worlds whose contact contaminates one or other; nothing but market transactions, cultural constructions, coercion; differentiated ties, each marked by distinctive set transfers. A review payment practices, legal disputes, recent theory illustrates weakness first two views desirability further pursuing third alternative.
