摘要: Direct pulp capping with calcium hydroxide compounds was performed on 510 human teeth. Pulp had been exposed as a result of cavity preparation in 70% cases, and by removal carious dentine 15%. For the remaining 15% cases no information cause exposure available. The teeth were clinically radiographically controlled 1, 3, 6 12 months after treatment at stopping date. 245 available for clinical examination. Information obtained from records. Using life table method, trial time calculated each case dale to date failure, last contact or data analyzed according perforation, age patient type tooth. Five-year survival 82% No significant difference observed between non-carious small exposures. Young molars showed higher rate when longer observation periods considered.
