摘要: This chapter discusses about the role of membrane processes, namely, microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis in field bioprocess engineering. Membrane processes are widely accepted used techniques separation filtration applications because their unique beneficial properties, such as low cost, environment friendliness, ease to scale up, integrate with other compactness. Therefore, use implementation various fields engineering helps saving a lot energy resources. The basic concept fundamentals along classification different types membranes systems explained suitable examples. important technology engineering, food, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, also discussed advantages over conventional techniques. main where proved worth virus purification, sterilization heat labile products, concentration food dairy racemic azeotropic mixtures, fruit juice clarification, beer wine production. Hence, this provides complete details importance, applications, benefits
