摘要: Unlike menopause, male reproductive senescence does not involve an acute drop in fertility. Men do, however, manifest distinct changes somatic and gonadal function with age. Moreover, population variation reveals phenotypic plasticity resulting from environmental, lifestyle, genetic factors. An evolutionary life history perspective is vital for understanding because aging involves biological constraint as well adjustments to strategies the allocation of resources. awareness history-related tradeoffs between energetic time constraints especially useful aspects are products environmental challenges natural selection. This article reviews adaptive significance biology human particular attention variation. cannot only shed light on origins but also provide insights into contemporary issues health.
