摘要: KIrO3 in the body-centered cubic variant of KSbO3-type structure is reported. Black cube-shaped single crystals, obtained from solid-state reaction a half-closed silver capsule sealed quartz tube, were used for structural characterization by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The material, space group Im (no. 204), exhibits disordered K array and three-dimensional (3D) IrO6-based tunnel-like framework. Temperature-dependent magnetization heat capacity measurements suggest paramagnetic state KIrO3, with significant contribution temperature independent paramagnetism without any sign long-range magnetic ordering (down to 1.8 K). 3D motif this based on 5d Ir5+ ion, interest investigating unconventional magnetism.
