摘要: Abstract The objective of this research work is to study the effect physical and chemical mutagenesis on biological treatment tannery saline wastewater (soak liquor) employing halotolerant bacterial strains. Four strains isolated from sources were used. identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Bacillus flexus Exiguobacterium homiense Staphylococcus aureus respectively. isolates found grow well in medium containing 0–10% NaCl. At high concentration (>5%), their mixed consortia showed a low degrading efficiency soak liquor (35–45%). UV light nitrous acid performed over mutated employed for degradation at salinity level (6% by wt). Comparison Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal rates both pure mutant that resulted 71% COD removal. Ultraviolet (UV) has no effectiveness. Biomass sludge (Mixed Liquor Volatile Suspended Solids) growth was also be treated
