摘要: Systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the effect of bevacizumab (Avastin) in diabetic macular edema (DME) Pertinent publications were identified through systematic searches PUBMED Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials. Change central subfield thickness (CSMT) μm best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) log MAR equivalents extracted at 6, 12 24 weeks, results compared between groups receiving intravitreal (IVB), a combination IVB triamcinolone acetonide (IVT), laser photocoagulation or sham control groups. The summary mean difference indicated statistically significant reduction CSMT 6 weeks when treated with control. treatment, however, lost significance 12 weeks 24 weeks. BCVA for group reached only 6 Combination therapy IVT did not result any gain vision treatment alone point time. Current data suggests that is an effective short-term edema, its efficacy wanes after 6 weeks. More trials exploring therapeutic role DME need be conducted define bevacizumab.
