摘要: Berberine (Brb) is one of the well-known naturally occurring compounds exclusively found in Berberis vulgaris and other members this family, such as aristata, aroatica, aquifolium. This plant-derived natural compound has a variety therapeutic impacts, including anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-tumor. Multiple studies have demonstrated that Brb great anti-inflammatory activity capable reducing levels proinflammatory cytokines, while it enhances concentrations making suitable for treatment inflammatory disorders. Colitis an bowel disease with chronic nature. Several factors are involved development colitis appears inflammation oxidative stress most important ones. With respect to antioxidant effects Brb, its administration seems be beneficial colitis. In present review, protective impact on molecular pathways discussed.
