摘要: The toxicities of the first five normal aliphatic aldehydes and two isomers, iso-butyraldehyde iso-valeraldehyde, have been compared by measuring rate exosmosis electrolytes from potato tuber into solutions these various concentrations. From results determined it has shown that considerable important differences exist between alcohol aldehyde series. 1. A very much smaller molecular concentration, 0.005 M formaldehyde is lethal within 24 hours, whereas a solution methyl causes only slight increase in over distilled water. 2. Acetaldehyde less toxic than formaldehyde. 3. Propionaldehyde butyraldehyde show toxicity formaldehyde. 4. There sudden case valeraldehyde. 5. Iso-butyraldehyde iso-valeraldehyde are more corresponding aldehydes. This behaviour striking contrast with exhibited alcohols.
