摘要: We show that amphiphilic and colloidal systems with competing interactions can be described by the same Landau–Brazovskii functional. The functional is obtained a systematic coarse-graining procedure applied to isotropic interaction potentials. Microscopic expressions for coefficients in are derived. propose simple criteria distinguish effective interparticle potentials lead macro- or microsegregation. Our considerations also concern charged globular proteins aqueous solutions other short-range attraction long-range repulsion interactions.
