摘要: The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory potential of rosemarinic acid (ROA), a naturally occurring ester caffeic has been well reported. Antibacterial effect ROA is attributed to nucleoid damage with an increase in spatial division condensation genetic material. found dynamic against many human pathogenic bacterial strains but its inhibitory prospective never established skin inflammations caused by Propionibacterium acne. surface acne prone areas colonized Staphylococcus aureus acnes which contribute inflammation Resistance current antimicrobial therapies suggested the need explore new agents Present work included preparation ROA-loaded niosomes their vitro evaluation P. S. aureus. This also development niosomal gel rosmarinic for sustained delivery bacteria infected cells. Niosomes were formulated reverse phase evaporation method using different ratio span 85 cholesterol. prepared formulations evaluated vesicle size, entrapment efficiency, release study activity. In vivo developed formulation was conducted on Swiss albino mice comparison solution plain drug marketed benzoyl peroxide. It evident that are novel carrier agents, deeper tissues skin. results showed drug-loaded dispersed gelling agent effective system treatment vulgaris.
