摘要: The creep rupture of circumferentially notched, circular tension bars which are subjected to constant load for long periods at temperature is studied both experimentally and by using a time-iterative numerical procedure describes the formation growth damage as field quantity. models development failed or cracked regions material due linkage grain boundary defects. Close agreement shown between experimental theoretical values representative stress, zones cracks (Bridgman, Studies in large plastic flow fracture , New York: McGraw-Hill (1952)) British Standard notched specimens (B.S. no. 3500 (1969)). minimum section notch be relatively uniform states multi-axial stress while B.S. non-uniform fields single grow through undamaged material. latter situation analogous discrete crack lightly damaged continuum. continuum mechanics theory presented here capable accurately predicting these extreme types behaviour.
