摘要: Faces are a valuable source of non-verbal information for daily life social interaction. Mounting evidence points to gender specificity in face perception. Here we search the factors that can potentially trigger differences tuning faces. By using set Face-n-Food images slightly bordering on Giuseppe Arcimboldo style, examine: (i) whether resemblance is linked specific impression, and, if so, this association perceiver specific; and (ii) most resembling also likable female male perceivers. First, spontaneous recognition task, participants were shown predetermined order from least face. Then two-alternative forced-choice (2AFC) judged each appeared them either or (Exp. 1); unlikable 2). Remarkably, closely connected impressions: more elicit female-face responses. This link not as it occurs both females males.
