摘要: In recent years it became clear that the regulation of cell function involves another important controlling parameter, i.e. cellular hydration state. Cell can change within minutes under influence hormones, nutrient supply and oxidative stress such a short-term modulation volume narrow range acts per se as potent signal which modifies metabolism gene expression (for reviews see [1–3]). Indeed, several effects amino acids hormones are apparently mediated by alterations hydration. The intracellular signalling mechanisms link osmotic water shift across plasma membrane to understood only in part, however, osmosignalling pathways have been identified, whose interruption suitable inhibitors leads an uncoupling swelling from metabolic response cell. Organic osmolytes interfere with modify liver parenchymal non-parenchymal cells. This article briefly our work on hepatocytes astrocytes role organic osmolytes.
