摘要: Over the last 15 years, USA has experienced a dramatic increase in volume of oil and gas produced domestically, primarily due to unconventional technologies like hydraulic fracturing directional drilling. However, this boom met with much controversy as it may threaten environmental quality human health bring unwanted changes local communities. While some communities have resisted expansion development, others fully embraced industry. In addition, occurred during an era de-regulation devolution, leaving states localities struggling foment policy response. manuscript, we blend place-based factors “colliding treadmills,” place attachment, community economic identity explain support for regulations among sample CO residents. Results implications future research are discussed.
