摘要: It has been alleged recently that the distribution of meiofauna around Arenicola burrows disproves existence a specifically anaerobic marine meiofauna. Critical appraisal evidence on which this denial was based shows conclusion untenable. may have arisen mistakenly from inadequate sampling burrow micro habitats, lack complementary data wall oxygen regime and prejudgement (by denying possibility primary anaerobiosis) reasons why species held to be by other authors occur in proximity oxic conditions. These points some new oxygenation are discussed. is shown at present meiofaunal taken as much favour thiobiotic theories against them.
