摘要: The number of gyres, mode, and direction coils, centromere, secondary constriction, telomere were studied in the human somatic chromosomes terms spiral structure, employing newly developed technique involving a hypotonic treatment. Results obtained are: 1. gyres is most probably constant analogous chromosome from different cells; 2. coils random; 3. each ehromatid accepted as unit chromonema coiling; 4. centromere seems to be regionally elongated portion chromonema, without showing any differentiated structure; 5. chromonemata at constrictions usually appear uncoiled or less tightly coiled entities, 6. two types structure observed, one being pointed-end type, while other rounded-end type (Summary see p. 424).
