摘要: The impact of white matter changes (WMC) detectable on CT or MRI various diseases like ischemic stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage their association with cognitive impairment was still is under debate. To assess WMC in a qualitative and/or semiquantitative fashion rating scales have been developed. For most widely used are the Manolio, Fazekas, Schmidt, Scheltens. Most recently new scale extending earlier suggestions has introduced by Wahlund et al. applicable for both MRI. This article will review strengths weaknesses these discuss further requirements future perspectives.
