摘要: Major depression is a serious psychiatric disorder; however, the precise biological basis of still remains elusive. A large body evidence implicates dysregulated endocrine and inflammatory response system in pathogenesis depression. Despite this, given heterogeneity depression, not all depressed patients exhibit dysregulation systems. Evidence suggests that inflammation associated with certain subgroups those who have experienced stressful life events such as childhood trauma or bereavement may be at greater risk developing Consequently, prolonged exposure to stress thought key trigger for onset depressive episode. This review assesses relationship between immune system, particular interest mechanisms by which impacts function, how altered functioning, turn, lead feed forward cascade multiple systems subsequent manifestation symptomology. The identification stress-related markers potential avenues advances therapeutic intervention vital. Changes specific used characterize differentiate subtypes symptoms predict treatment response, turn facilitating more effective, targeted, fast-acting approach treatment.
