The National Cancer Data Base report on cancer in Hispanics. Relationships between ethnicity, poverty, and the diagnosis of some cancers.

摘要: Background. Previous Commission on Cancer studies have examined time trends in stage of disease, treatment patterns, and survival for special populations. Reported herein are the most current National Data Base data Hispanics. Methods. Two Calls yielded a total 23,650 cancer reports Hispanics from hospitals across country. Results. There were differences relative frequency with which different sites reported among Hispanic sub–populations. For seven eight types cancers studied, had less favorable disease at first diagnosis than non–Hispanic whites. Conclusions. Poverty may be an important factor affecting outcome cancers. Ethnicity additional impact patients cancer.
