The impact of SEPA in credit transfer payments: Evidence from the euro area

摘要: Abstract This paper analyses the effect of implementation process Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) project on credit transfer payments in euro area countries during period between 2008 and 2013. Using both univariate multivariate fractional regression models, we found that, when controlling for socio-demographic, economic, technological institutional factors, progress migration to SEPA formats had a relevant positive impact share made with transfers. Our results provide first time empirical evidence direct payment habits set basis discussion some possible implications digitalization from economical societal perspectives.
