摘要: Abstract Three experiments were conducted to study the influence of dietary branched-chain amino acid level and source nitrogen in a nonessential mixture on utilization α-hydroxy methionine (OH-methionine), as compared with an equimolar quantity l -methionine, by chicks fed corn starch-crystalline -amino diets. -methionine or OH-methionine only sulfur-containing acids added Chicks diets containing grew at reduced rates required more feed per gram body weight gain than was noted for when levels branched chain (BCAA) not growth-limiting. The mean gains efficiencies sub-optimum greater optimum BCAA did support concept that serve group donors chick. No glutamic requirement observed maximal An additional 0.18% significantly (P -methionine. A significant various modifications included these studies kidney leucine aminotransferase liver glutamate dehydrogenase observed.
