摘要: We study third-harmonic generation (THG) in parallel-coupled waveguides where the spatial modulation of mode intensity provides quasi-phase matching, called coupling-length phase matching (CLPM), for efficient nonlinear frequency conversion. Different types CLPM are investigated THG, and it is found that two sets conditions can be practically implemented with traditional waveguides. These further by considering modulations, which degrade CLPM-based THG However, up to 45% efficiency still possible this scheme. The greatest significance approach requirement perfect a single waveguide no longer necessary, leading an alternative design THG.
