摘要: Wireless Sensor Networks have proven their capability to deal with problems where wide and hardly accessible areas need be monitored. Among the other systems there are also sensor networks in which nodes can voluntarily modify positions better adapt changes of monitored phenomenon. One major issues arising these situations is energy consumption: as all movements affect batteries lifetime, life a extended by equipping device power generators that exploit renewable sources, albeit this solution does not always avoid full battery discharge. In paper Fluid Stochastic Petri Net modelling framework presented provide evaluation factors contribute dissipation mobile wireless nodes. The allows generation extensible composable models capable evaluate consumption due sensing, communication movement functions well impact saving mechanisms on energetical balance node. approach applied marine sensing problem validated comparing model analysis results experimental achieved through an existing off-the-shelf network simulator.
