摘要: Abstract This work evaluates the rolling contact fatigue life of AISI 52100 steel bearing balls with mineral and synthetic oil, without additive, using a four-ball tester. IP 300/87 was applied total load 600 kg (corresponding to maximum Hertz stress 8.709 MPa). SN-350 (a neutral solvent) TMP-05 (an environment friendly polyester) same viscosity were additivated PTFE nanoparticle powder in different percentages. The test time for each specimen recorded processed on Weibull probability plots. L 10 50 are given pure base oils 1, 3 5 wt.% powder. results point an increase when additive-containing used. In order provide some understanding protection mechanism angle influence surface wettability lubricant unctuosity analysed. Scanning electron microscopy LINK techniques used study pitting, crack propagation, chemical additive fluorine content.
