摘要: Preliminary studies have been carried out to cure vinylester particle reinforced resins in microwaves reduce shrinkage of the composites. The results were encouraging. With an exposure time 35 40 s and a power level 180 W, 50- 200-ml composite samples, flyash particulate–reinforced resin, approached 0%. Despite success, there are risks process curing by microwave irradiation. styrene vapor emitted from is harmful humans becomes inhalation hazard. In addition, cavity oven may be heated high-voltage transformer around oven. This result flashing. Even if this does not happen, high concentration lead explosion. Another risk posed hardening agent, methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP). When interacted with microwaves, resulting exothermic reaction, MEKP could spontaneously ignite. usual rate 1% 2% it used however, most its dangerous properties disappear (John R. Sweet Co. http://www.johnsweet.com undated). itself poisonous must handled care.
