HOW ARE CARDIAC FUNCTIONS ALTERED IN PEDIATRIC PATIENTS RECEIVING ORAL IRON SUPPLEMENTATION DUE TO ANEMIA

摘要: Objective: This study aims to investigate whether oral iron supplementation improves structural and functional alterations by evaluating the echocardiography electrocardiography findings of pediatric patients with deficiency anemia.Methods: is a prospective review 30 who were diagnosed anemia received 12-week-long at center. All children underwent hematological workup, detailed examination evaluation time diagnosis for andthe end treatment.Results: After treatment, hemoglobin, mean corpuscular volume, hemoglobin concentration, red blood cell count, Mentzer index, serum iron, binding capacity, ferritin transferrin increased significantly (p=0.001, p=0.001, p=0.036, p=0.002, p=0.001 respectively). Pulse rate, respiration diastolic left ventricle wall thickness decreased while tricuspid E A wave velocities (p=0.004, p=0.033, p=0.009, p=0.003 p=0.021 As tissue Doppler findings, only interventricular septum isovolumetric contraction after treatment (p=0.002). The PR interval shortened significantly, p dispersion T-peak T-end following (respectively p=0.013, p=0.033 p=0.029).Conclusion: Oral seems contribute reversal cardiac remodeling, elimination compensatory hemodynamic mechanisms inhibition sympathetic activation within tissues
