摘要: An airhammer embodies an outer housing structure connectible to a rotatable drill pipe string through which compressed air is conducted. A hammer piston reciprocates in the structure, being directed alternately upper and lower ends of effect its reciprocation each downward stroke inflicting impact blow upon anvil portion bit extending upwardly within structure. Upon elevating off bottom bore hole drilled, drops downwardly open one or more bleeding grooves bit, quickly such preventing stopping from reciprocating impacting against bit. step also placed at junction between head shank break stress wave, incident striking before wave reaches head, thereby reducing induced junction, increases considerably fatigue life breaking with head.
