摘要: Abstract The purpose of this chapter is to examine the ‘new economic geography’ (NEG) in terms how well it explains urban and regional agglomeration. reviews Krugman's core–periphery model agglomeration with an eye toward what motivates analysis accomplishes its ends. It then proceeds examination several other types agglomeration, both regional, can be modeled by modifying key assumptions. concludes assessment NEG has accomplished where challenges lie, particularly regard empirical application.
