Bending and On-Arm Effects on a Wearable Antenna for 2.45 GHz Body Area Network

摘要: Three types of flexible textile antennas for 2.45 GHz body area network (BAN) are compared in this letter. Two conducting materials used to form radiation patch and ground plane; they called copper foil tape (CFT, 0.05 mm thickness) Shieldex (SH, 0.13 thickness, 0.009 Ohm surface resistivity). The substrate is a thin felt with relative permittivity 1.2 the thickness 2 mm. In order satisfy these requirements small frequency shifting when antenna bent placed on human body, two shorting probes connect plane. Compared without probes, size proposed reduced from 96 ×47 70 ×25 mm 2 , measured minimum value S11 free space also decreased -14.59 -33.30 dB. Furthermore, an smaller 46 2 designed by modifying structure, it can act as wearable well.
