摘要: Selective logging is known to alter the structural and community composition of tropical forests may disrupt plantfrugivore interactions. We hypothesized that even after a sufficient period recovery, logged areas will not possess as complete suite species an unlogged forest, differences being more marked for biotically-dispersed species. Species this functional group are expected occur at lower densities, have richness diversity, be smaller in forests. To quantify tree communities, we sampled 120 randomly placed plots, 60 each forest sites. found significant diversity between intact forest. Within species, bird dispersed showed reduction richness. Consistent with previous studies, trees were smaller, although overall density was different two treatments. posit selective might pervasive effects on aspects which appear persist decades cessation.
