摘要: Purpose The aim of the present systematic review was to estimate implant survival rate in different types techniques for rehabilitation posterior atrophic maxilla, after at least 3 years follow-up. Materials and Methods MEDLINE database searched using a combination specific terms. A hand searching relevant journals reference lists reviews also performed. All retrospective prospective studies evaluating short implants osteotome sinus floor elevation lateral approach elevation, having follow-up years, were included. Results Forty-four articles included review. In four reporting on total 901 implants, varied from 86.5% 98.2% with up 5 follow-up. For technique, 1,208 eight considered, showing varying 95.4% 100% 3-year Twenty-nine studies, accounting 6,940 placed 2,707 sinuses augmented through technique considered. Implant 75.57% 100%. Only three comparative found that showed no significant difference clinical outcomes between technique. Conclusions Sinus is an effective well-documented therapeutic option maxilla. The use promising but needs further investigation be considered as other long term. However, indication not perfectly equivalent treatment choice should based careful evaluation individual case, particular available residual bone.
