摘要: The preliminary documents of the conference for which this paper was prepared outlined two primary clusters ethical issues in critical medical choices. One cluster centered on problems “autonomy and paternalism.” Insofar as principle autonomy is seen implying liberty rights, that is, right self-determination, to be let alone, significance care decision-making has been assertion refuse such care. questions American debate have been: How can rational individual express his by deciding escape assault aggressive but agonizing tinkering professionals desperately trying overpower nature when patient would prefer step back take its course? we decide who really a rational, autonomous individual? And how find surrogates make decisions those are not competent?
