摘要: Discrepancies between the length of a traditionally defined Kuhn segment (lk) and bead size estimated from experimental data have been reported in number articles. In this work we emphasize that traditional definition is an oversimplification characteristic ratio, C∞, not only parameter defines size. We show dynamic polystyrene (PS) might be as large ∼50 monomers, whereas ∼8–10 monomers. It shown with 50 monomers (M ∼ 5000) bead, one can explain many inconsistencies interpretation compliance mechanical relaxation known for low-molecular weight PS. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
