摘要: Modeling a regional-scale hydrologic system introduces major data challenges related to the access and transformation of heterogeneous datasets into information needed execute model. These preparation activities are difficult automate, making reproducibility extensibility model simulations conducted by others or even impossible. This study addresses this challenge demonstrating how integrated Rule Oriented Data Management System (iRODS) can be used support processing pipelines when using data-intensive models simulate systems. Focusing on Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC) as case study, steps sequenced rules within iRODS. VIC iRODS applied conditions in Carolinas, USA during period 1998-2007 better understand impacts drought region. The application demonstrates modelers create more reproducible extensible model-based analyses. An approach for modeling is presented. The uses federated grids server-side processing. The demonstrated model. The demonstration focuses simulating USA.
