摘要: Vertebrate visual pigments and photoreceptors evolved early in evolution into four spectrally distinct cone classes used for color vision daylight, rods monochromatic dim light vision. In fish, the different of are expressed a variety morphologically including both single double cones. These may be arranged ordered row or square mosaics across retina. This basic pattern has been adapted species to provide wide sensitivities.
