摘要: In order to conduct many desirable functions, service robots will need actuate buttons and switches that are designed for humans. This paper presents the design of a robot named SwitchIt is small, relatively inexpensive, easily mounted on mobile robot, actuates reliably. Its operating characteristics were developed after conducting systematic study in human environments. From this study, we develop categorization based set physical properties relevant operate them. After calibrates annotates robot's environment using hand-held tablet, system automatically recognizes, pushes, detects state variety buttons. Empirical tests demonstrate succeeds 95.7% 234 total buttons/switches an office building household environment.
