摘要: The deposition of manganese in a water distribution system with manganese-related "dirty water" problems was studied over 1-year period. Four monitoring laboratories Robbins biofilm sampling devices fitted to the mains were used correlate relationship among deposition, level water, and chlorination conditions. Manganese occurred by both chemical microbial processes. Chemical when Mn(II) not removed during treatment penetrated filters entered system, where it oxidized chlorine dioxide for disinfection. Microbial areas insufficient control growth manganese-depositing biofilm. At 0.05 mg per liter, rate much greater than deposition. Significant at 0.03 dirty complaints eliminated until levels continuously less 0.02 mg/liter 0.2 mg/liter. A guideline 0.01 liter is recommended. Images
