摘要: The gross anatomy and microanatomy of the digestive system Ichthyophis supachaii were investigated. microscopic structures are similar to those in other caecilians. Functional developing teeth present adults. tongue contains genioglossus muscle. tract is elongated consists mucosa, submucosa, muscularis adventitia/serosa. oesophagus longitudinal folds lacks oesophageal glands. We report for first time caecilian gastric rugae specific localization oxynticopeptic cells anterior region. intestinal folds are exclusively liver comprises 30–40 incomplete hepatic lobes, lying an imbricate manner. Each lobe enveloped by haematopoietic tissue that produces delivers blood into sinusoids. Hepatic parenchyma organized anastomosing, two-cell-thick plates, having sinusoids at basal domain bile canaliculi apical hepatocytes. Pigment scattered inside pancreas pancreatic acini interspersed with islets Langerhans. gallbladder proper thin continuous cystic duct wall. Neutral carboxylated acid mucosubstances secreted along tract, while sulphated not produced stomach regions.
