摘要: Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative disease that has received increasing attention among the elderly. Its clinical manifestation primarily long-term joint pain. Evidence for pharmacological effects of geraniol in various diseases accumulating. However, whether therapeutic effect against OA remains to be determined. In this study, we discussed anti-inflammatory IL-1β-induced chondrocytes and anti-cartilage degradation mouse model destabilization medial meniscus (DMM). cell experiments, found treatment inhibited expression PGE2, NO, COX-2, iNOS, TNF-α IL-6 by western blot, qRT-PCR immunofluorescence staining. Besides, MMP-9 ADAMTS-5, reversed aggrecan type II collagen. Mechanistically, revealed suppressed IL-1β-stimulated PI3K/Akt/NF-κB MAPK activation. Importantly, have animal experiments oral was beneficial protecting articular cartilage from degradation. Overall, these data indicated may potential developed as an effective OA.
