摘要: The existence of a prominent electroencephalogram (EEG) activity within the theta frequency range (4–7 Hz) in hippocampus has been one most studied rhythmic activities mammalian brain. However, lower mammals hippocampal EEG wider and may extend from 3 to 4 Hz up 10 12 Hz. Therefore, it become current practice name this Rhythmic Slow Activity (RSA), order avoid term rhythm, which does not cover entire animals fall. Several reviews on RSA, particularly relation behavior, have appeared (Ishizuka et al., 1990; Komisaruk, 1977; Lopes da Silva Arnolds, 1978; Robinson, 1980; Vanderwolf 1981). Robinson (1980) discussed particular influence species differences RSA. In respect, controversial point is whether RSA occurs also humans. Single cases reported was observed man (Giaquinto, 1973), but Halgren al. (1985) were able find recordings using spectral analysis, Arnolds demonstrate epileptic patients. This presented dominant low (about 3–4 Hz), modulated with behavior similar way as mammals.
