Impact of urban growth on water bodies: The case of Hyderabad

摘要: Being located in the Deccan Plateau region, Hyderabad city has been dotted with a number of lakes, which formed very important component its physical environment. With increasing control State and private agencies over years, rapid urban sprawl city, many water bodies have totally lost. Many shrunk size while waters several lakes got polluted discharge untreated domestic industrial effluents.
