摘要: Abstract The kinetics of oxidation sulfanilic acid ( p -aminobenzenesulfonic acid) by hexacyanoferrate(III) in alkaline medium was studied spectrophotometrically. reaction showed first order and alkali concentrations an less than unity concentration (SAA). rate increases with increase concentration. Increasing ionic strength the but dielectric constant has no significant effect on reaction. A retarding observed one products i.e. hexacyanoferrate(II) (HCF(II)). mechanism involving formation a complex between been proposed. constants involved are evaluated. There is good agreement calculated under different experimental conditions. Investigations at temperatures allowed determination activation parameters respect to slow step proposed mechanism.
