摘要: OBJECTIVE This study compared the action of sucrose- and fat-containing foods on size eating episodes (satiation) postingestive energy intake (satiety). DESIGN The was a 2 x within-subjects design, each subject received four conditions in counterbalanced order. SETTING carried out Human Appetite Nutrition Research Unit. SUBJECTS Eighteen normal-weight young male University students. INTERVENTIONS Subjects consumed low (2238 kJ) or high (3962 lunch followed h later by opportunity to eat freely from an ad libitum selection fat, sucrose sucrose, fat snacks. Visual analogue rating scales record subjective feelings hunger, fullness related sensations were completed periodically through test day. RESULTS When offered snacks subjects less than when (P < 0.0001). However satiety similar. also determined hunger; gave rise higher level hunger greater 0.01). Energy for total day significantly more 0.001). CONCLUSIONS These results have indicated that episode is influenced nutrient composition consumed. High (probably due density) lead passive overconsumption which generates relatively weak satiety.
