摘要: Toxicity data collected under standardized test conditions may be of the utmost importance in health risk assessment, which human exposure limits are often derived from laboratory experiments. A approach to collection is also important for evaluating sensitivity and specificity methods used determine toxic potential. Several experiments were undertaken effects chemical exposures using a multidisciplinary screening battery, included tests systemic, neurological developmental toxicity. The 1- 14-d 10 chemicals on systemic indices toxicity determined female F344 rats batteries. Parallel prenatal postnatal development following dams 14 d. four pesticides (carbaryl, triadimefon, chlordane, heptachlor), solvents (trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene, carbon tetrachloride, dichloromethane), two industrial compounds (phenol diethylhexyl phthalate). results showed that produced markedly different qualitative patterns effect neurological, Differences pattern obtained depended dosing duration. Quantitative analyses indicated highest ineffective dose as well lowest effective could vary by much orders magnitude across These clearly show battery focused single endpoint cannot accurately predict either qualitatively or quantitatively chemical's profile.
