摘要: Convective/stratiform radar echo classification schemes by Steiner et al. (1995) and Biggerstaff Listemaa (2000) are examined on a monsoonal front during the summer monsoon-Changma period, which is organized as cloud cluster with mesoscale convective complex. Target S-band wavelength of 10cm, spatial resolution 1km, elevation angle interval 0.5-1.0 degree, minimum 0.19 degree at Jindo over Korean Peninsula. For verification rainfall amount retrieved from classification, ground-based rain gauge observations (Automatic Weather Stations) examined, converting grid data to station values using inverse distance weighted method. Improvement evaluated based correlation coefficient scattered diagram. Additionally, an optimal use method was designed produce combined rainfalls Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission Precipitation Radar (TRMM/PR) data. Optimal for TRMM/PR inversely according error variance statistics each single station. It noted how distribution monsoon frontal system improved convective/stratiform technique.
