摘要: Abstract Proteus mirabilis cells were incubated in Si-containing media, and the distribution of silicon into cell walls, extract, alcohol-ether-insoluble insoluble fraction was followed analytically. It found that is first stored walls then slowly transferred to fluid. In both fluid, organic Si components are synthesized. Infrared spectra Si-incubated P. revealed COSi, CSi, NSi, SiH bonds present. The various compounds extract determined. occurrence certain organo-silicates bacteria their possible function process transport discussed. Cell-free extracts these enabled fix binding. influence ATP, ADP, AMP, DPNH on uptake examined, it shown activates reaction, whereas liberated Pi nucleotides inhibits Si. primary binding, storage, translocation, final fixation discussed with respect accompanying energy-linked reactions.
