摘要: The products of the thermal degradation polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) are determined by heating conditions, since two competing mechanisms involved. Cyclic oligomers formed in low temperature range and during slow programmed degradation. This involves molecular splitting from loop conformations PDMS chain favoured its flexibility, assistance on part empty silicon d-orbitals. Methane high fast heating. shows that homolytic scission Si–CH3 also takes place is followed hydrogen abstraction.
