摘要: The ability to produce mycosporines (MYCs) in 157 pigmented yeast strains (eight genera, 25 species) isolated from natural environments of Patagonia (Argentina) was assessed. belong four taxonomic groups: the Sporidiobolales and Erythrobasidium clade class Urediniomycetes, Cystofilobasidiales Tremellales Hymenomycetes. Induction MYCs did not occur all tested appeared be an exclusive trait members Tremellales. This is first report on production by species latter group, as well extensive screening mycosporinogenic yeasts. consistent occurrence some specific phylogenetic groups suggests this bears evolutionary significance that presence/absence may have potential applications systematics.
